After seeing so many other wedding celebrations over the years, I realize that I'd make some different choices if I had to plan ours again now.
I'd likely select a different wedding gown and style my hair another way. I'd probably change the flowers, choose new dresses for the bridesmaids, and alter the color scheme.
But these are all peripherals -- those nonessential details that never matter years down the road.
What I wouldn't change is him.
Yes, I'd choose him all over again. We're just getting warmed up.

I'm so happy for you. I feel the same way about my man.
ReplyDeleteBravo! Happy anniversary! I know we've talked before about the fact that we celebrated 11 years earlier this summer. I didn't care about any of the 'peripherals.' In fact, my mom made my dress and I never even saw it until a couple days before the wedding. I do knew it made her happy beyond belief create it for me so I didn't care what it looked like (and it was perfect). I've always told people that I didn't care if I was in a gunny sack holding dandelions. As long as Hubby and I were there with my Dad (he married us), it was all good.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary!! Happy for you two love birds!!
