It's the last day of school, which means that I ran errands with gusto this morning in an attempt to "have it all together" (whatever that means) before the bus dropped off the girls for the final time this afternoon and summer officially began.
There was a small amount of excitement surrounding this day -- the opportunity to scrub the top of desks with shaving cream, the likelihood that the teacher would bring popcorn, the chance that the bus driver would hand out licorice, and the promise of fun and sun and freedom ahead.
Yes, it's safe to say that there was excitement. But I'll save my words and just let this picture do the talking instead.
Happy summer vacation, everyone!

What do you mean by scrubbing the top of desks with shaving cream? I've never heard of that before. Is it a prank or a real cleaning technique?
ReplyDeleteHa! That picture is completely awesome! Congratulations to the girls for getting through a school year.
Enjoy the summer vacation everyone!

Now, I've never used shaving cream as a cleaner, but the word on the street is that it works well to clean off lead and ink -- hence using it on desks in an elementary school classroom. (Who knew, right?)
ReplyDeleteHappy summer vacation to you, too!
