Getting Ready for Grandparents

Excitement mounts when grandparents come to visit for the weekend.  My five-year-old prepared for the occasion by creating an elaborate sidewalk mural to welcome them.  (Also by wearing her winter boots.)


I'm especially fond of her self-portrait.  Talented, no?


Just when I thought that their little hearts couldn't cope with the anticipation much longer, a familiar car pulled into our driveway.  The payoff was sweet, indeed.
